When I go into a natural place, because of the time and place I live, my perceptions are amended in a technological sort of way. I am coming from an environment layered with technologies that help provide the things I need and use while moving into an environment of intricately interwoven life. The digital artwork employs creative imagination to explore the overlap inherent in the two systems of existence. Visual connections are made. These are expressed as decorative images. Because they are decorative doesn't mean they are in some way inferior to other forms of art. Decorative art and design have accompanied humanity throughout it's long history. Examples can be seen in all cultures and times. Decorative art and patterns connect at a primary level that makes them easy to relate to and enjoy.
