This digital collage was created from visual elements of the landscape located in the area of the North Fork of the Skykomish River near the town of Index Washington. It is a place I have spent a great deal of time over the past forty years. The intent is to translate the experience of being there on the first day of summer into a visual metaphor. I chose the medium of photography for it's , ability to capture and be manipulated. The subject reflects my love of nature. The style is experimental in an attempt to create something that is original yet founded in a tradition of visual representation.
