"More important than a work of art itself is what it will sow. Art can die, a painting can disappear. What counts is the seed." - Joan Miro. While working in series each composition contains elements found in both previous and future images. Past, present and future exist simultaneously. Things that are different are the same. It is an odd way of thinking. Each image shares similarities. Each one is in some ways different. An evolution occurs that will continue in future images. There are an infinite number of possibilities.
