I really enjoyed making the images in this series. It gave me a chance to experiment with some ideas that I've been kicking around awhile and never getting to. One thing that I like is that the works are in a way a departure from a lot of my earlier stuff. Even so they have some of the same feel. they are more controlled and focused. The underlying theme of being in a spring garden with an assortment of lenses gave me the opportunity to fantasize about the coming of spring while it was still the dead of winter. It also gave me a way to look at a place that I had been in the past in a new fresh way. It was like revisiting an old friend with some new insights.
