The Garden View series came about in anticipation of spring. The time was a cold and wetter than normal winter that seemed like it might last forever. Every day was the same wet monotone grey followed by a long, cold, wet night,. I really needed to see some natural spring colors. The making of the series was kind of an escape fantasy. It was also a way to experiment with some new ideas that evolved from the previous series. All in all it was a very enjoyable experience. The image is an example of techno deco digital graphics inspired by the art deco movement of the early twentieth century. It was inspired by the bold geometric forms of Cubism.
