The photograph used to create the symmetrical composition was taken deep in a Pacific Northwest forest early in the summer of 2018. The sun was at peak brightness as it filtered through the forest canopy. Open areas were filled with light. Where the vegetation was thicker shadows created deep pools of greens in varying shades. When walking in a forest there is a sense of increased awareness. The imagination begins to wander. Thoughts of the forest as a dance in time come into focus. A feeling that the choreography is guided by the sun, wind and rain comes and goes. One must pay attention to avoid becoming lost.
