The photograph used to create the symmetrical composition was taken deep in a Pacific Northwest forest early in the summer of 2018. The sun was at peak brightness as it filtered through the forest canopy. Open areas were filled with light. Where the vegetation was thicker shadows created deep pools of greens in varying shades. When walking in a forest there is a feeling of increased awareness. While the surroundings are quite beautiful there is also the possibility of unseen danger.
